Monograph of Dr. rer. nat. Andreas Heinrich Malczan
The theoretical elements presented in this monograph are now more than 10 years old, partly outdated and even incorrect in places. In particular, the interpretation of neuronal nuclei as negation nuclei is incorrect. It has been shown that there is (almost) no neuronal negation in the nervous system of vertebrates; instead, neuronal signal inversion occurs. While in negation nuclei the inhibition is absolute and total, in inversion nuclei the inhibition is only relative, so that there is always a residual signal that is inverted with respect to the original signal. The problem was that negation nuclei and inversion nuclei are almost indistinguishable in terms of their cytoarchitectural structure.
This note should be observed when readers read this monograph. A revision is no longer planned.
